Bankswood Inspire 2014 – Best yet

Crowds_outside_howardtown_bar_watching_the_coustic_stageThe Bankswood Inspire festival took Place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, and feedback suggests that it was the best yet.

Helped along by the  beautiful weekend weather, this years festival saw over 15 bands perform on the 3 festival stages along with dancers, speakers and a puppet show to create a great atmosphere over the 2 days.

Thanks to everyone who supported the festival and came along. We would love to hear your feedback, good and bad, so that we can make it even better next year.

Watch this space for more photos as they come in and follow BankswoodMusic on Twitter and Facebook to keep up to date with news of next years festival.

  1. Greater awareness of the festival in Hadfield and Glossop is needed - it's a big park and needs a lot more people to make the most of the space. Also simple things like having times available on Twitter, Facebook and the web site ahead of the festival would help.

All noted. Timings are tricky as things are constantly changing right up to the last minute and we don't want to disappoint people, but it is definitely something we can work on for next year!
  2. The atmosphere was great, the bands were great, it was all organised really well, there was lots to do, I liked the addition of Inspire, oh and the donuts were good. The only improvement I can suggest, as a female, I would love to see a larger variety of acts including more female bands/artists and a wider range of musical genres. Oh and I didn't want to go home so it could have gone on longer into the evening too! Really enjoyable weekend.

Thanks Rosie. Yes looking back at the lineup it was a little short of female talent (with one or 2 notable exceptions!). we did ask a couple of other Female artists/bands to play, but they were unavailable. We will certainly bear this in mind when booking bands/acts next year. Thanks for the comments
